Telesales ----- Verizon Compliance ReviewOctober 8th, 2009

Selling
Sales reps must adhere to the following mandatory compliance statements when making a sale over the phone. The telesales sales script must provide accurate information and be presented professionally.

The mandatory scripting statements are:
•Identification (Must state name and say calling “on behalf of” Verizon or “for Verizon”…. not “from” Verizon or “with” Verizon)
•Reaching decision maker (Contact must state yes to question regarding decision making ability)
•Request approval to record call
•Request approval to access customers records CPNI (upsell, DOCC statement)…before accessing customer records
•DNS (if requested by decision maker)
•TPV (if applicable)
•Sales acceptance (Must correctly re-state, product, term, MRC and NRC; if promos are used, must accurately state impact of promos. If sale is an upgrade, winback, or add-on sale, must quote correct Termination Liability for that product.)

All these components must be present in the recording in order for the sale to be valid, otherwise the customer will need to be contacted again to acquire the proper recording. There should be no sale processed if it is missing any vital compliance information.


Lead Lists
Verizon does not support the use of any lead list purchased which is based on the use of network information. Specifically, Verizon does not allow the use of lead lists which have been developed using LIDB, LERG or LERG type information. Those systems and databases were designed to assist the network organizations with specific network management functions. They are not marketing databases. As such, lead lists which are derived from those sources cannot be used for telemarketing or direct mail. Your compliance with this notice is required. Please acknowledge your receipt and compliance with this directive.
•Telesales External Lead Source Requirements Summary:

- Verizon does not allow the use of lead lists which have been developed using LIDB, LERG or LERG type information.

- Lead lists which are derived from the above listed sources cannot be used for telemarketing or direct mail.

- This requirement is mandatory for all Verizon Sales Agents.
