Deposit Screenings
Existing Phone and/or Data Accounts
If you have an existing acct with Phone and/or Data and you are issuing a change order to add TV – the deposit requirement is based on the customer’s payment history with Verizon. If you have any questions and/or concerns about the deposit please call the CORT team @ 800-849-4480.
If you have a New Connect and you are adding TV – if a deposit is requested you can call the CVC @ 877-912-6500. They will be able to speak to the customer and explain the deposit requirement. In this case, the deposit is based on the customer’s EXTERNAL credit history ONLY.
Newly Installed Phone and/or Data Accounts
If you have an acct with Phone and/or Data and you are issuing a change order to add TV – if you see Low Risk and $400 deposit please answer the following questions:
- Was service just installed at this location?
- If so, has the customer received their 1st bill?
If service was just installed and the customer has NOT received the 1st bill then Cofee may show Low Risk and $400 deposit. Please call the CORT team @ 800-849-4480. They will be able to look at the customer and determine if a deposit is needed. In this case, the deposit requirement is based on the credit screening processed during the new connect. So if the customer would have originally required a deposit then the deposit will still need to be paid in order to add TV service.
Data Only Accounts
If you have a Data Only acct and you are issuing a change order to add TV – if you see Low Risk and a $400 deposit please call the CORT team @ 800-849-4480. They will be able to look at the customer and determine if a deposit is needed.
